“Simon let me tell you who you really are” said Jesus…no not the one you have worked so hard to become. You know the one you invested so much in. The one that has been shaped by what others have told you as you have walked through your life. You know the one that every morning wakes up to an illusion of an ideal self you have come to believe is you.
Thats not the one I am speaking to. I am speaking about the one that resides within your heart according to 1 Peter 3:4. The one that you can’t see with the eyes of the flesh. The one that has to go back to God to understand who he really is. To see that part of you that is fused together with Me where you don’t know where you end or I begin. This is the part of you that I have been calling all these years to come forth and see…
You see your name is not Simon and the real you is not really the son of Jonah. You are Peter and you are my son and today I tell you that you no longer have to live under the illusion of Simon for today I have shown you the real you and once you see that you are never the same.
Revelation speaks of a white rosetta stone being held on the hand of God. On this stone there is a name inscribed on it. Only the one who this stone is given to is able to recognize this name as this name on the stone is their real name…
Now go back and read this all over again from your heart. But this time replace “Simon” with your name, “Jonah” with your fathers name, and “Peter” with whatever name it says on that white rosetta stone that God has assigned just for you.
