Why is it that so many of us say “if you are a child of God…” Last time I checked the only one who is able to create, give, and sustain life is God so if someone is not his child then who created them, gave them life, and sustains them?
Suggesting that this is possible means that the Prodigal son stopped being a child of the Father when he was out living loosely and as we all know that is just not true. How about this week we choose to see things differently by loosening our grip over our addiction to the labels of elitism and exclusivity so that others may be able to see the real and true Jesus within us, instead of the one that we have created within our limited egotistical minds?
Remember that just like a flower has to loosen her petals in order to blossom so we must loosen our grip over our false believes and security if we are ever going to discover whom we truly are. (Matthew 10:39)
