“Simon let me tell you who you really are buddy” said Jesus…no I am not talking about the one you have worked so hard to become and have invested so much in. Nor the one that has been shaped by what others have told you as you have walked through life. Nor the one that every morning wakes up to an illusion of an ideal self that keeps you working so hard to create it as you believe that when it does you will finally be fulfilled, happy, and free.
Thats not the one I am speaking to. I am speaking about the one that resides within you. The one that you can’t see with the eyes of the flesh. The one that has to go back to the beginning to understand who he truly is. So you can see that part of you that is fused together with me where you don’t know where you end or I begin. This is the part of you that I have been calling all these years to come forth as I called Lazarus out of the darkness of the grave into the wondrous light of life…
You see your name is not Simon and the real you is not really the son of Jonah. You are Peter and you are my son and today I tell you that you no longer have to live under the illusion of Simon for today I have began to show you the real you and once you see that you are never the same.
The book of Revelation speaks of a white rosetta stone being held on the hand of God. On this stone there is a name inscribed on it. Only the one who this stone is given to is able to recognize this name as this name on the stone is their real name…
Now go back and read this all over again but this time from your heart. Replace “Simon” with your name, “Jonah” with your fathers name, and “Peter” with whatever it says on that white rosetta stone God has assigned just for you.
