I remember some years back I used to spend many hours studying and reading many things in order to educate myself. In reality if I am honest I did this with the quiet hope within me that all this studying would somehow cause me to feel fulfilled and motivated to keep going for more.
The reality is that many of us spend much of our time investing ourselves and our energies in trying to control and teach the mind. Though I do not have anything against this and though there are very powerful and transforming lessons to be learnt by educating and shaping our minds, today I understand that the reality is that we will never get this motivation we seek thorough our ‘clever’ brain as motivation comes from our heart. The same place passion and true love come from. Therefore, I want to encourage all of us today to start guarding, investing, and listening to our heart so we can be true to it.
Choosing to do this might take longer and it is likely that the road will be harder but I also know that as we do this, we will not only find the motivation we need to reach and fulfill our destiny, but most importantly we will find a never ending supply of energy that will empower us to live out this unprecedented experience called our life.
