Have you ever wondered where exactly was Jesus asking us to follow him to? I know I have spent many days reflecting and contemplating this invitation he extended to all of his creation. Was it a physical place? Was the location of this place somewhere in Israel? Or maybe was he inviting us to follow him to heaven?
I would like to invite you today to consider that perhaps Jesus was inviting us to return as we followed him back to the reality of the Garden of Eden that Adam enjoyed before he slipped and hit his head. Or maybe he was inviting us back to the place where the tree of life which I believe is the truth is found so that we could once again eat from it and be freed from the illusion of separation from God so many of us still live under. Better yet he might have been asking us back to a place where we can live in real time connected with the reality of heaven so our lives like his though they are lived in this world they are not from it. Or perhaps he was asking us to follow him back into the Kingdom of Heaven that he knew had always been within us.
But then again he might have just simply been making a way for us to be ushered back into our hearts where we would discover and see that all of these and more, like him, have always been a part of it.
The real Christ will lead you back into your heart whereas following a self made illusion of Christ will lead you to into an endless trip of going around in circles.
