If the Holy Bible was supposed to be the main guide and driver behind our journey then the Holy Spirit would have never been revealed nor given. In the Garden God did not breathe the Holy Bible into Adam but instead his spirit. When we choose to make the Holy Bible our main point of sustenance is the same thing as reading a menu about food but never actually eating the food it describes so well. We need to understand that the Trinity is made up of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit is not replaced by the Holy Bible. The Word of God has always been and will always be Jesus and The Holy Bible the words of God.
Yes by all means lets read our Bible and take heed of what it says but whatever we do lets make sure we do not limit the God behind it to what we think it says nor do we place it above God and His Spirit. Otherwise we will be making out of it the same thing the Pharisees did and that is an idol that will blind us from Gods’ truth instead of assisting our journey towards it.
