Heavenly Pedigree!

There was once this young guy working in Africa as a construction worker. He didn’t know nor was he aware that he was the son of a man and a woman, that had both been international athletes and sprinters, as he was orphaned shortly after being born due to his parents being taken away during the war.

No one ever told him about them or told him who they were. Yet, despite his inability to see this he nevertheless carried their DNA. One day a track and field coach visiting the country took a wrong turn while taking an early morning stroll. Suddenly he was met by this huge new home that was being built. As he stood there he noticed the same young man skipping like a gazelle as he delivered materials to the workers. With each jump his amazingly fast twitching fibers jumped out of his muscles pressed against his tanned skin. Immediately because he knew what to look for he saw there was something more to this boy than met the natural eye.

After watching him move for a short while he decided to approach the boy and say hello. The boy unable to speak English called over the foreman who could. They exchanged pleasantries and the coach invited him to run with him on the nearby track. The next morning they met and as the boy began to run it became clear that this boy carried something very special within. The problem was that he was unaware whom had been involved in making him. As he began to ran he suddenly turned to the translator and said it is like I have come home and I have been here before…somehow I belong here. “Could that be possible?” he asked. Yet before anyone could answer he went on to say, “It feels like something inside me came alive as soon as I stepped into this track…”

Sound familiar?

The DNA of the Kingdom of Heaven has been within our hearts all along. We just need a very special someone who is able to reconnect us back to it so we can wake up and see. (John 3:1-21)

Thank God for Jesus.
