What is false and fake needs constant updating for it to remain credible – whats real and true does not need any maintenance as it was designed to stand the test of time and in fact it often gets better as it ages.
Today I would like to ask you to remember that Jesus invited us all to cast our constant struggle to keep up our false identities, also known as burdens, onto Him and in exchange He offered us rest. This is also known as my yoke is light and easy, which we experience when we live our life from our true identity as this part of us does not depend on our performance to keep it up but in fact only requires for us to have a desire to discover it (seek first my Kingdom and righteousness).
This is why Jesus came to save us from our egos and the consequences these are responsible for creating in our lives. He didn’t come to save us from God as so many of us still believe. If Jesus’s mission was to rescue us from the hands of an angry God then he would have not been God. He would just been an agent from heaven that was sent to save us.
We really need to understand that the one that loves us unconditionally can’t also hate us at the same time.
