Many people ask me if God is with us and we live present and are aware of that presence then why do you, Pablo, still make time to meditate and pray. This is a very good question and here is how I see this.
For me the way I see this is like what happens within a marriage. Here two people, that are one, are around each other and go about their day either together or separated. Throughout the day they might touch base they might not. Yet if they want the relationship to thrive, be healthy, and flow then they need to make space for quality time. I am thinking about things like an intimate dinner. Or perhaps coffee by the sea and then a romantic night together. Listening to each other and just pampering each other for no other reason than just because. These spaces of quality time is the same way I view my times of meditation and prayer. I find that the more I invest in these the greater my awareness during the day of Dads presence is and vice versa the greater then my intimate times with him are.
Now if you are single and not yet married or have a partner then the way this space is reflected in your life is by the way you take care of yourself. For example do you go to the gym? Do you eat properly? Do you rest and invest in yourself? If you do then you will also find it easy to understand the importance of creating an intimate space with Dad. If you don’t do these things or they are not as important then you will probably find that you will view an intimate space with Dad much the same way even if you do take time to pray and meditate.
Consider today that you are not able to truly love God and others until you are first able to love yourself, and thats because God and others are connected and are a part of who you are. Just like it is very difficult to experience someone else loving you if you don’t love yourself first.
