Lately I have been entering for periods of time into a space where I am becoming immersed within a current which is amazingly still but at the same time so much is happening. Here I feel like I am dancing without moving and flowing without effort.
I somehow become part of an invisible force that I suspect is also responsible for moving everything in the universe. This force is so powerful yet it operates in stillness and silence. For example take a look at the planets in space orbiting the sun. All that matter at traveling at such high speed yet not a ‘peep’ of noise is heard anywhere. Consider this silence compared to the noise that its produced when we try and get a car to go fast yet in the scale of things is but a speck compared to the massive planet.
This I am beginning to understand is the spark that ignites all living things and keeps them going. (Acts 17:28) This spark I believe is what Jesus described as the Kingdom of Heaven which he said was within us. To access and remain within the reality of this Kingdom we need to understand that here things move to the unforced rhythms of grace and that all is done from a place of rest.
I encourage you today to take some time to step into this space within you as no matter how short your stay in each time, it is sure to transform the way you live and express your life. Remember in this Kingdom we learn how to dance while we are still and remain still while we dance.
