Love in the Market Place

“Hey Pablo what are you doing man?” the guy behind the coffee shop counter asks. “I am writing a book” I reply.

“Really no way” he says as he jumps over the counter and approaches me. “So what is it about man?” he asks “Your heart” I reply with a smile. “Really wow so can a marihuana smoking rasta like me read it?” He asks.

“Well do you have a heart? “ I ask. “Yes I think so” he says beating his chest. “Ah you see but thats not the heart I am writing about” I reply with a smile. “What do you mean man?” he asks…I just smile….”oh come on tell me”.

“Maybe another time I will but not now” I say. “Why not now man?” he asks while walking back to the counter to work. “You are not ready yet to hear what I have to say man” I say with a smile…

”I am going to think about it and will have the answer next time I see you man” he says. “You do that” I say while smiling once again…

Every encounter like this one shows me why Jesus shared the way he did. He understood like I am beginning to that is so much more fun watching people discover things on their own instead of pushing them and forcing them to see something they are yet not able to see.

Here is to my rastafarian brother behind the coffee shop counter and the beginning of his new journey into his heart!

Have a great discovering week!
